In honor of JinglePets™ Spokes-Duck, Stuart, Carolina Waterfowl Rescue will be featured on our site twice a year and receive donations from the sales of JinglePets™ products.
Stuart's Mom and Dad met Jennifer, the Director of Carolina Waterfowl Rescue, while participating in a "wild goose chase". They read about the "chase" in a post on a pet duck website. A group of African geese were living on a golf course and creating problems for the golfers. Stuart's parents contacted CWR about helping out. They joined a group of CWR volunteers armed with nets and bed sheets to capture the geese.
Carolina Waterfowl Rescue (CWR) is a non-profit rescue organization operated by federally-licensed migratory bird rehabilitators specializing in waterfowl. In 2007 CWR took in over 732 birds, of which, over 400 were protected migratory birds. They rehabilitated and released 38 species of birds including raptors, songbirds, wading birds and waterfowl.
